WhatsApp for PC: WhatsApp is one of the world’s most widely used messaging app. The most amazing feature of this messaging app is that it is totally free, but all you need is an internet connection. Also, it is quick at delivering the messages at the same time. Another interesting fact about this app is that it is simple to use and it offers many other features such as voice calling, video calling, etc. Unfortunately, the official PC version of this amazing application is not out yet. Still, you can use WhatsApp on your PC for interacting with your friends. There are three different methods using which you can access your WhatsApp account on your PC. Let’s go through each method thoroughly.
Method 1- Using Whatsapp Web
This is the easiest and the quickest method you will ever know. You do not need any kind of software or extension to execute this method. Let’s start off with the steps.
Step 1- Launch your Chrome browser on your PC and type ‘https://web.whatsapp.com/’ in the address bar and hit Enter. You will then be redirected to a page displaying a QR code.
Step 2- Then, launch WhatsApp on your smartphone. Now, tap on the three vertical dots you will find at the top right corner of your screen. From the drop-down box, tap on ‘WhatsApp Web.’ Now, scan the QR code visible on the screen of your PC with your smartphone.
That’s it! You can now chat with people through your WhatsApp account on your PC.
Note: I got the idea of running Android apps on PC after reading a article about how to run shareit file sharing app on windows PC. You can download shareit from official website or filehorse website. You can easily download shareit for pc latest version from there.
Method 2- Run WhatApp in Chrome browser using ARC Welder
ARC Welder is an extension which allows its users to run smartphone applications in the Chrome browser. Before you start off with this method, you need to have ARC Welder extension added to your Chrome browser, and you also need to download the APK file of Whatsapp on your PC.
Step 1- Launch the Chrome browser on your PC and open a new tab. In the address bar of the tab, type ‘chrome://apps/’ and hit Enter.
Step 2- You will now be redirected to a page where you will see the icons of all the apps which are available to you. Here, spot the icon of ARC Welder and click on it to launch this app.
Step 3- A new window will then pop-up with a ‘Choose’ option at the bottom. Click on that ‘Choose’ option.
Step 4- Now, click on the option which says ‘Add your APK.’ A new window will appear where you can navigate to the location where you had stored the APK file of WhatsApp. Open the APK file by clicking on the ‘Open’ option.
Step 5- Then, a new window will open. Here you can configure your display settings such as the orientation, form factor, etc.
Step 6- Once you are done with the configuration of the display settings, click on the ‘Launch App’ option.
Method 3- Using an Android emulator
BlueStacks is a popular Android emulator. There are many other Android emulators such as Droid4X, Koplayer, etc. These emulators will do the same task for you.
Step 1- Launch the Android emulator which you are using on your PC. And then, open ‘Google Play Store’ in it.
Step 2- Search for the keyword ‘WhatsApp’ in the search box and hit Enter.
Step 3- Select the most relevant result and click on the ‘Install’ option.
Step 4- As soon as the app gets installed successfully, you will find it in the app drawer.
Step 5- To launch this app, go to app drawer and click on the icon of WhatsApp.
Now you can continue using your WhatsApp account on your PC with the same features as you were offered on your smartphone.
The methods mentioned above are quite easy to understand and execute. If you get stuck at any step or if you have a better method, then please let us know in the comments section below.
